I recently connected with a rep for Monat Global who sent me a few samples of their product to try out. I honestly had never heard of this company before and was excited to give it a go for the first time since after a quick search online I noticed their products are naturally-based and super safe!
(note: I received small samples that weren’t more than 2 days wort of product, so this post is not going to be so much a review of efficacy as it is of my 100% honest overall first impression of the products received).
The Science of MONAT
MONAT’s ingredients are naturally-based, safe, pure and sustainable. But with other brands recognizing the power of botanical oils, how is MONAT any different? The answer lies in our rich formulations that make these naturally-based ingredients work in harmony with each other, combining and reacting to pump up their natural properties to take MONAT to the next level.
I received 3 different samples to try.
Balance Renew Shampoo
Volume Revitalize Conditioner
Balance Replenish Masque
For starters, the shampoo was pretty watery when i squeezed it into my hand. It wasn’t a thick consistency and ran straight through my fingers. It had a pleasant scent to it; nothing strong or overwhelming. It lathered up but since it had such a runny consistency I felt like I needed to use more product to get the lather. It did however feel like it thoroughly cleaned my scalp.
The conditioner was great! I didn’t need too much and had a thicker consistency than the shampoo did. It conditioned my hair well and make it feel super soft and luxurious. It also didn’t have a strong scent to it, just a very light clean fragrance.
The hair masque, had about the same consistency as the conditioner and went on well, with no strong odor. It really had my hair feeling super soft after I washed it out – I liked this product!
Overall, the samples left me wondering if they would really benefit my hair.
I LOVE the fact it’s all natural-based and does NOT contain all those harmful ingredients…
I wish I would have had more product to play with to get more of a result. Unfortunately I only had 2 days worth of product to use and although I love what it has done in 2 days I can’t say that it would actually do what it claims passed that.
Nonetheless, it’s a product I would try again and with all that science behind it, I would feel comfortable feeding it to my hair. 🙂
I hope this post was helpful!
