Cabbage Juice

As you already know I’m a big juicer, and a huge believer in all the health benefits that juicing provides! Something I never tried juicing before was cabbage…until now!

Last night I juiced half a head of cabbage. While cutting and washing the cabbage I thought to myself, “oh man this is going to taste like crap”, because you know cabbage doesn’t smell too great and it really doesn’t have that great of a taste to it. So going into it, I was already having doubts. 😦

So after washing the chopped cabbage, I also took some carrots; washed and cut them up too as well as a bell pepper. Hoping the flavorful carrots and bell pepper would add some sweetness to the cabbage flavor. I was right!!…

This juice wasn’t strong at all but you could definitely taste the cabbage however adding the other two veggies really gave it a more sweet flavor – mostly the carrots. I couldn’t really taste the bell pepper very much.

Ingredients: 

  • 3 organic carrots; washed and chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 organic orange bell pepper; washed and chopped into small pieces
  • 1/2 head of cabbage; washed and chopped

It tastes good and goes down super smooth! I definitely recommend.
