Morning Cereal: Granola & Berries

This is ONE of my favorite morning meals because it’s so quick and easy to do. When I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to whip up an egg omelet or a smoothie…in just 2 minutes I can prepare this quick cereal alternative, enjoy, and be on my way out the door. It tastes SO good and actually fills me up!  Eating granola may also help lower your cholesterol and prevent certain chronic diseases, such as heart disease and cancer. It provides your body with:

  • Fiber
  • Fats
  • Vitamin E
  • Thiamin
  • Folate
  • Magnesium
  • Phosphorus
  • Zinc
  • Copper
  • Manganese
  • Selenium

The granola brands I stick to (due to my food allergies) is Bakery on Main Granola, Bear Naked Granola and Kind Snacks Granola Clusters. I use Almond Milk and always add some berries (usually raspberries and blueberries). Too yummy for words! Keep in mind that these like most granolas contain a good amount of sugar so shouldn’t be consumed too often.
